Athina-Myrto Chioni upon completion of my Ph.D. at Imperial College London in 2006, I joined Barts Institute of Cancer, Centre for Tumour Biology (QMUL) to conduct postdoctoral research investigating the role of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling in development and cancer. In September 2014 I joined Kingston University as a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences and in 2016 I became a Senior Lecturer in Pathology and Cancer Biology (until present) and deputy course director for BSc Biomedical Sciences (until 2021). Since my Postdoc, my principal research interests focus on FGF signaling in cancer and drug resistance.
