I have completed a doctoral degree in Neuro-Oncology, specializing in childhood brain tumor medulloblastoma and human embryonic stem cell (hESC) derived cellular models. As a postdoctoral associate at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I investigated key epigenetic and molecular mechanisms in Glioblastoma patient-derived brain tumor stem cells. Currently, as a Research Scientist at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, I am investigating the role of specific nutrients in intestinal stem cell plasticity versus tumorigenesis using relevant animal and organoid disease models.
