Biography

I am a 3rd-year PhD student in the department of Experimental Medicine curriculum of the PhD Program in Biotechnology and Translational Medicine (Bioimaging) at the University of Genoa, Italy, conducting my research in MorphoLAB under the supervision of Professor Katia Cortese. My research focuses on HER2-positive breast cancer, investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) using advanced microscopy techniques, including confocal microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and live-cell imaging. My work examines receptor trafficking, autophagy, mitochondrial dynamics, and immune modulation to improve the understanding of targeted cancer therapies. My research interests include cancer cell biology, molecular oncology, drug resistance, and translational cancer research.
