Biography
Vladimir Beljanski is a faculty member at the Cell Therapy Institute of Nova Southeastern University. He received his Ph.D. from Emory University and completed postdoctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina. His expertise lies in preclinical discovery and development of therapies targeting the immune system.
The goal of his current research program is to develop cell product–based therapies for diseases characterized by immune system dysregulation. Dr. Beljanski’s team utilizes both stromal and tumor cells from diverse sources to study cell-secreted factors with therapeutic potential. In particular, his research focuses on how treatment of cells with small-molecule compounds alters their interactions with neighboring cells, with the aim of developing effective anti-tumor and immunomodulatory therapeutics.
